Nick runs the Paris Marathon for the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust

My Story
In 2023, in the early days of a pregnancy, I received a text from my wife telling me that something was wrong and to meet her at our local hospital. Over the next few days, I learned all about ectopic pregnancies as my wife was diagnosed with one, and we played the waiting game before entering emergency surgery that was ultimately successful. Since then, we've had two more ectopic pregnancies handled with expectant management.
Each experience was traumatic, but I'll never forget sitting in hospital waiting rooms, frantically searching online for information and trying to play catch-up on a topic I had previously known nothing about. When I talked to people afterwards, I learned that many couples who had been through it knew too little beforehand.
I also saw how much organisations like the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust do for people when they're at their most vulnerable. So, I'm running the Paris Marathon to help raise funds for the EPT and to raise general awareness that while the risks are low, ectopic pregnancies can happen and they can have a huge impact on the lives of our friends and families who experience them.
Please support what I think is a great cause — I'm looking forward to running my fourth marathon in Paris 2026 for the EPT!
